Amanda Beson is 30 years old and is the Recovery and Youth Advisor at Great Lakes Dream Center. She has a love for people and expresses that love by wearing many different career hats within the community. Some of Amanda’s career passions include communication relations, recovery pathways, music, and working with teen girls, children, and families. Amanda has performed full time as a Nashville musician/songwriter/artist, was communications director at Messiah Church, was the director at Beacon of Hope Pregnancy Center (now known as LifeClinic Community Resources), and created and operates Beauty Mark Teens.
Amanda is currently a musician/solo artist/band member, piano teacher, and a family recovery coach with Families Against Narcotics. She loves the opportunity to experience relationships with people from all different areas of life. She enjoys a loving and caring relationship with her boyfriend Richard, his daughter Kennedy, and their two dogs Beau and Baylor.
For fun and extracurricular activities Amanda enjoys playing volleyball, watching movies, cheering on her Michigan State Spartans, and laughing with friends and family. She loves watching God work in her as He continues to guide and direct her through all her stages in life so far. The life verse she keeps close to her heart and uses for her daily compass is from Proverbs 24:3-4, “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
